Springtime Swing: M5390

I bought this border print last fall because I thought it was so neat. The green isn’t the most flattering color, but by putting it on a skirt hem, it won’t be anywhere near my face!

The fact that it is a border print makes it it’s own unique challenge. I love a-line and circle skirts. I don’t like gathering at my waist. Obviously that doesn’t mix well with a prominent border print. I knew I didn’t want to do a sheath style. I am, however, very tempted to make up a bodice to attach to the skirt. Not sure. And I’d like a little, white, short-sleeved jacket. Not that a short-sleeved jacket is in any way useful to me as I generally freeze in this day of over-air-conditioning. But gosh it’d be cute! I could wear it with my cute cork and reed heels!
